The 'Church' is a body for the religious expression of Thelemic principles. Its theism is Gnostic and it honours, rather than worships, the actual forces of life (as opposed to hypothetical gods). Local deities may also be honoured depending on the place of worship.
Historically, Crowley's Liber XV has been the central ritual of all manifestations . However, in recent years the Church has developed new rituals whose content is more relevant to the experiences of contemporary society. Key rituals remain Eucharistic, after the manner of Liber XV, whilst others are purely celebratory in nature.
It is not necessary to be a member of the Order in order to be baptised into its associated Church or to assume the junior offices .
Church events are open to the public by invitation and are an excellent introduction to the spirit of Thelema for those who wish to learn more about it.
